EUREKA! : Unique emotions for °80 North / Des moments uniques au delà du 80° degré Nord

Is Mother Nature, in her brutality, conveying the laws of right and wrong?

Seven years in the True North and the cumulative experience offered in 2015 as MY FINAL True North Collection.

I record reality and interpret it to show my emotions related to those inaccessible landscapes:

Harsh emotions initiated at first sight,

Loss of references and perspective as related to distances,

Confrontation with an unwelcoming mother nature,

Sharing what is not intentionally offered,

In True North, our bubble does not need any more space,

Experience the benefits of solitude,

Sense the uniqueness of each space,

The bluish whiteness of the territory and the impact of the brutality of Mother Nature.

Anticipation, Amazement, respect.

I am confortable in a non-predictive environment that is dominated by the true north nature.

The foreseen moods are: empowered, exhilarated, privileged and overwhelmed.

This work is closer to a documentary with a profound sense of being far from home in High North.

I employ the use of vanishing points to allow us to enter nature, not only physically but also emotionally.

Black and White play a greater role in this collection.

A video is offered as an assembly of my captures.

Through his photographic signature, Michel Thibert invites the viewer to experience, with him, areas that one may otherwise never see. His use of vanishing points allows us to "enter" nature, not physically but emotionally. This pushes us to go further in a shared perspective. Michel's work will carry you in a tumult of landscape of impressions, fields, mountains, rivers and clouds.
